Shenlong is a dragon spirit from Chinese mythology and is often identified as the god of storms and bringer of rain. For this character I designed, sculpted, printed, applied and colored all 6 platinum silicone prostheses. I also sculpted the horns separately and then molded them in flexible polyurethane and polyurethane foam. To better communicate the character's royal origins I then created a cape, a scaled shoulder pad, combat cuffs and the egg prop. Finally I created and applied the false nails.

All the prostheses were sculpted on the plaster face cast of a model but only the nose prosthesis was 3D piece with a counter mould; while the other prostheses were flat Below you can see some images of the making off, from sculpture to molding in the laboratory. For the sculpture I used Monster Clay Medium, for the platinum silicone prostheses I used Mold Star silicone for some molds and ecoflex gel for the prostheses respectively. Everything was colored with alcohol colors, iridescent pigments and sprinkled with gel to simulate the wet effect (Shenlong is an aquatic dragon). The horns have been colored with acrylics + gloss varnish.
